Joan Herrmann is the founder of a multi-media communications company and created, hosts, and produces the radio show Change Your Attitude…Change Your Life. Joan also publishes a monthly digital magazine, Change Your Attitude…Change Your Life: 24/seven, which is distributed to thousands worldwide. Her guest and magazine contributors list reads like a who’s who of the most influential and inspirational people in the world. A published author and motivational speaker, Joan has been featured in print and broadcast media. She was a speaker at the 2012 New Jersey Governor’s Conference for Woman, and presented a keynote address with Dr. Bernie Siegel at a Power of Positive Medicine conference.
Joan began her journey with what she calls a “rebirth” at the young age of 46. At that time, within a period of six months, the life she knew ceased to exist. Her 23-year marriage ended and her mother and sister passed away leaving her the sole surviving member her nuclear family. She found herself alone and in uncharted waters, depressed, lacking self esteem and self confidence. She used the tremendous loss and personal pain she experienced as the catalyst to a new life. During a period of self-discovery, Joan came to understand that we are impacted by all aspects of life, and are not just the mind, body, soul or spirit, but a sum of the whole. She set out to provide information that connects the dots between these components and it is her goal to educate, inspire, motivate and empower others. She believes that knowledge is power! Joan offers hope with her message about the power of positive thoughts and intentions and she guides people on how to embrace and deal with change instead of fearing and hiding from it.
Joan is passionate about giving back to society and helping others whenever possible. She is involved with various non-profit organizations and was a recent recipient of a New Jersey Governor’s citation and a Mayor’s award for her work with local hurricane flood relief efforts.
